くすしきでは、今年の11月11日から毎年この日に、人が「そのまま」でいるためのまつり

「そのまままつり」通称 ままま を開催します。

名も、姿も捨て、ただ「人」となれ。

SNSの肩書きも、仕事の名刺も、役職も。
いったんすべてを手放し、山へ還る。

群馬・四万温泉で行われる「そのまままつり」は、
“人がそのままでいられること”を問いかける、年に一度のおまつりです。

参加者全員が「くすしきの衣」をまとい、
泥にまみれながら、大きな和紙の上に身を転がして作品を描きます。
この“泥”は、ステータスや肩書き、承認欲求など、
私たちが社会の中でまとう「世のちり」の象徴。

最後には、その泥で描いた和紙を炎に還します。
それは、自分の鎧を手放し、ただの「人」へと還るための儀式。
そして最後に、四万の温泉に浸かり、
残った世のちりまで全てを洗い流します。

土にまみれ、火に委ね、温泉に抱かれる——。
自然の循環の中に身を置くことで、
役割や肩書きを超えた“わたし”と出会う。

In a world full of titles, screens, and constant comparison,
SONOMAMA MATSURI invites you to let go of everything you wear —
not only your clothes, but the invisible layers of who you think you must be.

Participants wear simple garments designed for the ritual and cover their bodies in mud, 
a symbol of the dust we gather while living in society.
Rolling across a large sheet of paper, they leave traces of movement and emotion,
creating a work that cannot be signed or owned.

Finally, the paper is returned to fire —
a gentle offering of all that once clung to us.
In the hot spring, the rest dissolves into water.

To touch the earth, the fire, and the water
is to remember what it means to simply be.

Come as you are,
and return as yourself.

くすしき（kusushiQui）は、群馬・四万温泉の柏屋グローバルグループが手がけるプロジェクトです。

四万の山や温泉には、言葉にできない不思議な力が宿っているように感じます。
その力を旅館の枠を越えて表現したい――そんな想いから生まれました。

2026年には宿泊施設としてオープン予定。
「宿る感覚が、目覚める感覚。」をコンセプトに、
旅館でもホテルでもない、“宿ではない宿”を目指します。

これまで、季節や土地の魅力を生かした体験型イベントを通して、参加者が自分の感覚や内面に向き合える場をつくってきました。
山の中で過ごす時間、味、音、香り、肌触り、美しさを感じる体験——
私たちの中に眠っている人間としての心地よさを目覚めさせます。

名前の由来である古語「くすし」には、「人知を超えた優れたもの」「神秘的な尊さ」という意味が込められています。
くすしきは、人が本来持つ感覚や五感を呼び覚まし、ありのままの自分に還る体験をこれからも届けていきます。
